3d calendar for 2008
This desktop calendar/paperweight is in .pdf format, and will print on one page!

This is one of the 13 classic Archimedean solids, the lesser rhombicuboctahedron. It is composed of 18 squares and 8 triangles. On the right is an assembled calendar. This particular one dates back to 2002. The 2008 calendar is much better looking!

From the Adobe (formerly Acrobat) Reader print menu, select "Expand small pages to fit paper". This will select landscape orientation and print the image at the largest size possible. Use 8.5" x 11" heavy photo paper and a high-resolution laser printer for the absolute best results. If you want a true paperweight, glue two pennies to the back of each of the squares, but not the triangles. This will cost 36 cents. Where else but at MeDiCaLeSe can you find such a bargain?

Assembly instructions:

1. Before cutting the paper, fold all horizontal lines, printed side out.
2. Now fold all vertical lines, printed side out.
3. Cut out along the outermost line.
4. Be sure to cut the triangles all the way to the corners!
5. Glue the central tab first. That is, attach the leftmost February tab to the underside of the rightmost Blowtorch Press panel.
6. Work your way around the bottom, attaching each lower triangle to the tabs adjacent to it.
7. Close off the bottom by gluing the surrounding three tabs to the lowermost box containing the website addresses.
8. Work your way around the top, attaching each upper triangle to the tabs adjacent to it.
9. Close off the top by gluing the surrounding three final tabs to the uppermost website address box, and you are finished!

Your kids will enjoy putting the calendar together for you! Little hands and tiny fingers do a fine job with craft projects like this.
